Container ships have initiated a new cross-border trade system for Myanmar-Thailand border trade: Yangon-Kawthoung-Ranong and Ranong-Kawthoung-Yangon. Under such a new trading system, authorities have granted 15 import licences worth over USD4 million and 598 import licences worth over USD26 million until 8 July 2024.

According to a news bulletin No 1/2024, container ships have initiated a new cross-border trade system for Myanmar-Thailand border trade: Yangon-Kawthoung-Ranong and Ranong-Kawthoung-Yangon.
